Selection Analyst

About This Role

Serve as a Selection Analyst for the Examination and Certification Services Section (ECSS) within California Correctional Health Care Services, focusing on developing, administering, and evaluating examinations. Provide consultation, guidance, and technical assistance on selection laws, rules, and regulations to ensure fair and accurate HR processes.

Responsibilities

• Perform analytical and technical work for the ECSS in the Employment and Outreach Unit
• Provide innovative examination development, assembly, and administration services
• Function as the primary exam analyst responsible for the creation, maintenance, administration, and continual evaluation of CCHCS exams
• Develop and validate department-wide examinations for correctional institutions/facilities as needed
• Provide examination consultation and technical assistance, policy guidance, and interpretation of State Personnel Board selection laws, rules, and regulations
• Provide examination information and respond to questions from various stakeholders
• Perform analytical staff services related to minimum qualifications review and issue resolution
