Assess and manage the health care needs of patients in ambulatory, inpatient, and specialized clinical settings within a correctional facility. The Nurse Practitioner performs physical exams, therapeutic procedures, and interprets lab results.
Responsibilities
- Assess and manage the health care needs of patients in ambulatory, inpatient, and specialized clinical settings
- Perform physical examinations and therapeutic procedures
- Interpret routine laboratory and imaging results
- Educate and counsel patients regarding matters pertaining to their physical and mental health
- May be assigned call duties with back up supervision by a physician manager
Requirements
- Current license as a registered nurse in California
- Current certification as a Nurse Practitioner by the Board of Registered Nurses
