About This Role

Administer physical therapy treatments and therapeutic care to patients within a correctional facility, ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and policies.

Responsibilities

• Administer physical therapy treatments to patients in a correctional facility
• Administer active, passive, restorative, and resistive therapeutic treatment
• Interpret the significance of physical therapy services to patients
• Comply with all applicable State and federal laws and regulations
• Comply with departmental policies and procedures pertaining to the physical therapy program
• Maintain order and supervise the conduct of incarcerated individuals
• Maintain the safety of persons and property
• Maintain the security of working areas and work materials

Requirements

• Possession of legal requirements for the practice of physical therapy in California as determined by the California Medical Board
