Security Operator

About This Role

Control access to trailer yards, ensuring secure and efficient movement of trailers and conducting physical inspections of gates and doors. This role involves maintaining accurate records, communicating with security personnel and management, and adapting to changing circumstances to maintain a secure and smooth operation.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate records of all entries, exits, and cargo inspections in a logbook or electronic system
• Maintain communication with other security personnel and management
• Cooperate with other departments to ensure a smooth and secure operation of the warehouse
• Report any incidents or suspicious activity to management
• Adapt to changing circumstances and priorities, such as unexpected changes in traffic patterns or security threats
• Clearly understand goals, policies, and procedures of RJW
• Conduct perimeter checks to ensure that all gates, doors, and fences are secure
• Maintain confidentiality of company information

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Ability to maintain accurate records and attention to detail
• Private vehicle essential for job requirements
• Must be able to communicate, read, write, and speak English
• Knowledge of Business Operating Systems, Internet software, Word Processing, and Spreadsheet software

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or general education diploma (GED) is preferred
• 1-2 years of clerical experience
