C Shift Lead

About This Role

The C Shift Lead will accept and schedule customer orders, ensuring customer satisfaction. This role involves providing administrative support within the Transport Operations Department and contributing to the company's employee ownership program.

Responsibilities

• Enter customer orders and scan/index documents
• Schedule customer load pickups and deliveries
• Document orders in the computer and update customer contact information
• Communicate with customers regarding schedule changes and potential service failures
• Understand goals, policies, and procedures of RJW
• Communicate customer problems, leads, and inquiries to appropriate personnel
• Maintain confidentiality of company information
• Recommend and implement approved improvements
• Update reports as required by operations manager and COO
• Assist local dispatcher in updating Tee Cards

Requirements

• Basic office clerical skills
• Type at least 40 wpm
• 1-2 years of clerical experience
• Basic transportation/logistics experience
• Ability to communicate, read, write, and speak English
• Knowledge of Business Operating Systems, Internet software, Word Processing, and Spreadsheet software

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or general education diploma (GED) is preferred
• 1-2 years of clerical experience
