Security Officer

About This Role

This role supports safety and security operations through patrols, monitoring, access control, and customer assistance to protect hospital staff, patients, and visitors. You will serve as a visible deterrent to illegal activities and provide supervision for at-risk patients.

Responsibilities

• Conduct patrols to support safety and security operations
• Monitor hospital premises and associated public services
• Perform access control duties
• Provide customer assistance as needed
• Serve as a visible deterrent to illegal activities on hospital property
• Provide supervision for at-risk patients in the hospital environment

Requirements

• Completed High School Diploma or GED
• Ability to obtain and maintain applicable licenses or certifications
• Strong vision abilities including color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
• Ability to stand and/or walk for an entire work shift
• Ability to move or lift objects up to 80 lbs.
• Ability to help restrain or lift a person
• Ability to meet Taser qualification standards and obtain/maintain license/permit for Taser

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED

Nice to Have

• Previous work experience with the public in a service setting
