Security Officer

About This Role

Serve the community by providing security services and maintaining a safe environment for clients and their premises. You will perform access control, conduct patrols, and report any safety issues or suspicious activity.

Responsibilities

• Conflict resolution and de-escalation
• Perform access control at security entrances / exits
• Conduct patrols inside / outside the client’s premises, potentially in various weather conditions and in different types of terrain
• Interact frequently with client employees and guests
• Identify and report safety issues, hazardous conditions, or any suspicious activity
• Provide detailed written reports
• Work in a team environment to ensure site / organizational goals are achieved daily
• Carry out specific tasks and duties of similar nature and scope as required for assigned site

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• High School Diploma, GED, OR ability to complete the GED program within 6 months
• Strong computer / technology skills
• Ability to interact with a wide range of individuals in a calm and professional manner
• Great attention to detail and the ability to remain alert throughout the duration of the shift
• Ability to respond to emergencies with rapid / effective judgment and use appropriate escalation
• Willingness to participate in the Company’s pre-employment screening process, including drug screen and background investigation

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, OR ability to complete the GED program within 6 months

Nice to Have

• Customer service background preferred
• Previous security, military, or law enforcement experience
