Security Officer

About This Role

This Security Officer role serves as the primary protection for guests, staff, and property at legendary music institutions, ensuring a safe, secure, and enjoyable experience. The position requires a hospitality-first approach to maintain high-visibility presence, monitor crowds, and assist guests.

Responsibilities

• Ensure a safe and secure environment and deliver friendly, professional service to guests.
• Investigate and report suspicious behavior to management.
• Screen guests upon entry using metal detectors, weapons detection systems, and bag searches.
• Enforce policies, including age and alcohol related regulations, verify identification, manage crowd flow, and conduct appropriate searches.
• Monitor and control access to restricted areas and clearly communicate venue policies.
• Protect property and assets by preventing theft and damage through patrols, surveillance, and monitoring facilities.
• Provide escorts for artists, VIPs, and high-profile individuals to ensure safety and privacy.
• Respond promptly to emergencies (medical, fire, severe weather) according to SOP, assist guests, and collaborate with first responders.
• Address potential crowd control issues, de-escalate volatile situations, and escort unruly individuals.
• Conduct routine safety inspections and audits, ensuring emergency exits are clear and reporting hazards.
• Prepare detailed and accurate incident and accident reports, both verbally and written.
• Communicate and enforce all corporate standards, policies, and procedures in compliance with laws and regulations.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• State of Tennessee Unarmed Security License
• Dallas's Law training
• CPR/AED certification within 90 days of hire

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Background in law enforcement or security with entertainment/hospitality venue and crowd control experience preferred
