Security Officer

About This Role

Protect casino patrons and employees from illegal activity and in emergencies, safeguarding assets and investigating unusual occurrences within the gaming facility.

Responsibilities

• Patrol casino and track areas or assigned designated post
• Protect patrons and employees from illegal activity and in times of emergency
• Safeguard money and assets transported to and from and within the gaming facility, video facsimile, and cashier/cage departments
• Assist in the control and organization of admittance to track operation areas
• Investigate and record all unusual occurrences and incidents within the gaming facility, maintaining records in a bound book and electronic format
• Verify jackpot payouts in the event of a system outage
• Monitor and report fire command activity
• Stand/walk for long periods of time while at post or on patrol
• Promote superior external customer service by exhibiting a professional appearance, attitude, and overall demeanor
• Promote superior guest service

Requirements

• Ability to write detailed reports in a clear and concise manner
• Ability to work various shifts and flexible hours
• Above average interpersonal skills and experience
• Desire to assist guests and treat all guests in a consistently positive manner
• Ability to work inside and outside year round
