Security Officer Level I & II

About This Role

This role is responsible for performing routine patrol and clerical tasks requiring security knowledge within a manufacturing facility. The officer will monitor premises, respond to incidents, and enforce access control across multiple shifts.

Responsibilities

• Patrol premises regularly, monitoring for unauthorized access, safety hazards, and suspicious behavior.
• Monitor security cameras and alarms, maintaining attention to unusual activity and entry and exit points to prevent unauthorized access, theft, or vandalism.
• Inspect and maintain the functionality of all security and safety systems within the facility.
• Manage and enforce access control protocols, including verifying employee and visitor identification.
• Respond quickly and effectively to security and safety incidents, including medical emergencies, fires, and other potential hazards.
• Assist in the evacuation of personnel during emergencies, following all established emergency protocols.
• Maintain detailed and accurate logs of daily activities, incidents, and irregularities such as equipment or property damage, theft, or unusual occurrences.
• Investigate incidents and prepare reports to document security breaches, accidents, alarms that result in E.R.T. activations or other significant events.
• Coordinate with the security team, supervisors, and department heads to develop and enforce security policies.
• Ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures, and applicable safety and security regulations and participate in regular safety drills and training sessions.
• Provide back-up coverage for the main lobby, including operating switchboard and greeting visitors.
• Create identification badges for employees, vendors, and contractors.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• One year experience in security, ideally within a manufacturing or industrial setting
• Valid Class C California Driver’s license
• Ability to obtain a valid California BSIS Guard Card
