This role is responsible for monitoring and adjusting material master data, generating purchase orders, and optimizing the supply chain to meet customer demands. The Planner/Scheduler I will improve key performance indicators and lead continuous improvement efforts.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and adjust material master data settings to ensure accuracy for safety stock and supplier contact information.
- Determine items to be ordered, generate purchase orders, and follow up on system-proposed changes.
- Optimize material master data and other settings for efficiency in order acknowledgment, production, inventory management, and shipping.
- Monitor, analyze, and improve key performance indicators for planning, including delivery performance, inventory, and costs.
- Lead continuous improvement efforts in information flow between customer, sales, and supplying plants using lean principles.
- Support new product introductions and engineering/revision changes with sales, production, and supplying plants.
- Manage escalations with suppliers to resolve supply chain issues.
- Perform data analysis to uncover improvement potentials and determine root causes of supply chain issues.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Supply Chain Management, Computer Science or similar discipline OR 5 years’ experience in Logistics Management, Supply Chain Management, Capacity Planning, Production Planning, Purchasing or similar discipline
- MS Office familiarity
- Proficiency at using or programming IT systems used in Logistics (e.g. ERP-systems like SAP, database software (Excel, Power BI), data mining)
- Customer focused and clear communication skills
- Ability to operate with little oversight, make decisions and take calculated risks
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Supply Chain Management, Computer Science or similar discipline from an accredited institution or 5 years’ experience in Logistics Management, Supply Chain Management, Capacity Planning, Production Planning, Purchasing or similar discipline.
- 5 years’ experience in Logistics Management, Supply Chain Management, Capacity Planning, Production Planning, Purchasing or similar discipline, or a Bachelor's degree.
