Security Officer

About This Role

Ensure the safety and security of client properties by performing duties such as customer service, observing and reporting incidents, maintaining a security presence, and conducting patrols.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service by assisting client staff, visitors, and coworkers
• Observe and report any suspicious activities and incidents
• Maintain a professional security appearance and stand guard in designated areas
• Conduct foot and/or vehicle patrols of assigned areas
• Control access to restricted areas, checking IDs and following proper access procedures
• Ensure a safe and secure environment by enforcing policies and reporting safety concerns
• Assist in emergencies, including administering CPR/First Aid/AED care and communicating with emergency personnel
• Maintain professional communication with client staff and keep site supervisors updated

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to pass a drug screening (including for marijuana)
• No felony convictions
• No misdemeanor convictions related to dishonesty, fraud, impersonation of law enforcement, assault, weapons, unauthorized sale of information or evidence, controlled substances, or two or more alcohol related offenses
• Ability to sit, stand, and walk for 8-12 hours at a time
• Ability to lift at least 50 lbs.
• Ability to see clearly at least 20 feet away (assisted)
• Ability to hear conversations in loud environments
• Ability to use a smart mobile phone or computer for emails and online training
• Fluency in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English
• Professional demeanor and excellent customer service skills
• Excellent personal integrity and a positive attitude
• Completion of required trainings and adherence to all policies

Qualifications

• No prior experience required
