Security Officer

About This Role

Serve as a Uniform Security Officer, ensuring the security and safety of client property and personnel, while providing superior customer service.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a Front Desk agent, ensuring all visitors to the building are properly checked in and escorted through the building
• Provide a visual deterrence against any criminal or otherwise unauthorized activity
• Conduct hourly foot patrol of interior and exterior to check entrances, doors, and windows are locked and secured
• Ensure unauthorized persons do not enter restricted areas
• Look for suspicious persons, packages and activities
• May provide first aid or other medical treatment in emergency situations
• Follow site specific post guidelines
• Report potentially hazardous conditions and items in need of repair
• Document daily activities and incident reports

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age or older
• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• No felony convictions and able to pass a criminal background check
• Able to successfully pass a drug test
• Present a friendly, positive, and professional image
• Willing to become CPR/1st Aide/AED Certified
• Able to sit, stand or walk for the duration of the shift, including walking long distances, and possibly up and down stairs
• Readily able to respond to emergency situations
• Able to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds
• Valid Driver's License with a good driving record (less than 3 moving violations in the last 3 years, less than 2 at-fault accidents in the last 3 years, no other major violations in the last 3 years)
