Security Officer

About This Role

As a Uniform Security Officer at DK Security, you will be responsible for the security and safety of our client's property and personnel. This involves ensuring all visitors are properly checked in, conducting patrols, and responding to emergency situations while providing superior customer service.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a Front Desk agent, ensuring all visitors to the building are properly checked in and escorted through the building
• Provide outstanding customer service
• Provide a visual deterrence against any criminal or otherwise unauthorized activity
• Conduct hourly foot patrol of interior and exterior to check entrances, doors, and windows are locked and secured
• Ensure unauthorized persons do not enter restricted areas
• Look for suspicious persons, packages and activities
• May provide first aid or other medical treatment in emergency situations
• Follow site specific post guidelines
• Report potentially hazardous conditions and items in need of repair, when applicable
• Document daily activities and incident reports

Requirements

• At least 18 years of age or older
• No felony convictions
• Ability to pass a criminal background check
• Ability to pass a drug test
• Present a friendly, positive, and professional image
• Ability to sit, stand or walk for the duration of the shift, including walking long distances, and possibly up and down stairs
• Ability to readily respond to emergency situations
• Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds
• Valid Driver's License with a good driving record (Less than 3 moving violations in the last 3 years, Less than 2 at-fault accidents in the last 3 years, No other major violations in the last 3 years)
• Ability to work independently with little or no supervision
