Security Officer

About This Role

DK Security is hiring a Uniform Security Officer to ensure the security and safety of client property and personnel in Ann Arbor, MI. This role involves front desk duties, patrols, emergency response, and providing superior customer service.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a Front Desk agent, ensuring visitors are properly checked in and escorted while providing outstanding customer service.
• Provide a visual deterrence against criminal or unauthorized activity.
• Conduct hourly foot patrols of interior and exterior to check entrances, doors, and windows are locked and secured.
• Ensure unauthorized persons do not enter restricted areas.
• Look for suspicious persons, packages, and activities.
• May provide first aid or other medical treatment in emergency situations.
• Follow site-specific post guidelines.
• Report potentially hazardous conditions and items in need of repair, when applicable.
• Document daily activities and incident reports.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age or older
• Must be able to pass a criminal background check
• Must be able to successfully pass a drug test
• Must present a friendly, positive, and professional image
• Able to sit, stand or walk for the duration of the shift
• Readily able to respond to emergency situations
• Able to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds
• Valid Driver's License with a good driving record (less than 3 moving violations in 3 years, less than 2 at-fault accidents in 3 years, no other major violations in 3 years)
• Ability to work independently with little or no supervision
