Security Management Intern

About This Role

This internship offers a valuable hands-on opportunity to gain practical experience in security operations, risk assessment, and organizational safety management within the dynamic environment of Barclays Center. The intern will assist in implementing and maintaining security protocols and ensuring a safe and secure environment for all stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day security operations and assist in monitoring facilities to ensure safety and compliance.
• Assist in the coordination and implementation of security policies, procedures, and programs.
• Conduct risk assessments and help identify potential security threats; collaborate on strategies to mitigate risks.
• Collect, analyze, and report data related to incidents, breaches, or other security-related events.
• Maintain and update security logs and records.
• Assist in organizing and delivering security training sessions for employees.
• Develop awareness materials and presentations to promote a security-conscious culture.
• Support internal and external security audits to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
• Assist in monitoring security systems (e.g., CCTV, access control) and recommend improvements.
• Provide support for implementing new security technologies and tools.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Security Management, Criminal Justice, Business Administration, or a related field
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Attention to detail and ability to handle sensitive information
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills
• Proactive approach to identifying and solving security challenges
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new situations

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Security Management, Criminal Justice, Business Administration, or a related field
