Security Installation Technician

About This Role

Install, maintain, and test security and network cabling infrastructure, including IP cameras and access control systems, in a data center environment in Dallas, TX.

Responsibilities

• Install various network cabling infrastructure, including structured cabling (CAT 3/CAT 5/CAT 6 copper, fiber and coaxial), patch panels, and wire management systems
• Coordinate, install, and test premises equipment such as PDUs, computers, switches, routers, optics, and wireless access points
• Utilize industry standard cable test procedures and equipment for wire mapping, OTDR, Network Analyzer, and Visual Fault Locator
• Perform device rack and stack
• Conduct hard drive installation and replacement
• Install and test IP Cameras and access control systems
• Conduct various media testing including fiber and copper using a multitude of testing equipment

Requirements

• Proficient with Cable Pulling- Cat6
• Installation of IP Cameras
• Installation of access control systems
• Proficient with using Scissor lifts

Nice to Have

• Experience installing Projectors or A/V Equipment
