Seasonal Truck Driver

About This Role

Drive trucks to ensure timely and safe delivery of fertilizer to customers during the spring planting season. This role involves assisting with loading/unloading and adhering to all transportation regulations.

Responsibilities

• Ensure accurate and timely pick up/deliveries to customers in a safe, timely, and professional manner
• Assist with or load or unload, as needed
• Provide excellent customer service, treating customers professionally and handling concerns promptly
• Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal laws and regulations, including pre-trip/post-trip reporting, load securement, and hours of service
• Maintain cleanliness of vehicle(s) inside and out, and the work environment
• Complete and document daily maintenance inspections, ensuring proper equipment maintenance
• Maintain and promote a strong safety culture, following all safety policies and procedures
• Report all incidents (bodily or property), accidents, and traffic violations immediately to supervisor
• Enroll in and complete mandatory CHS random drug and alcohol testing program and the Continuous Monitoring Program
• Assist operational staff and perform other duties as needed or assigned, including intercompany related driving

Requirements

• Class A or B CDL
• Ability to read, write and communicate in English and understand highway traffic signs and signals

• Bulk liquid experience
• Pressure trailer experience
