Seasonal Truck Driver

About This Role

Drive a truck to deliver fertilizer to customers in a safe and timely manner, ensuring compliance with all regulations and maintaining excellent customer service. This is a seasonal role from mid-April to mid-June, offering consistent long shifts.

Responsibilities

• Ensure accurate and timely pick up/deliveries to customers in a safe, timely, and professional manner
• Assist with or load or unload as needed
• Provide excellent customer service, treating customers professionally and handling concerns promptly
• Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal laws and regulations, including pre-trip and post-trip reporting, proper load securement, and hours of service
• Maintain cleanliness of vehicle(s) inside and out and work environment
• Complete and document daily maintenance inspections, ensuring proper equipment maintenance
• Maintain and promote a strong safety culture and follow all safety policies and regulations
• Report all incidents (bodily or property), accidents, and traffic violations immediately to supervisor
• Enroll in and complete mandatory CHS random drug and alcohol testing program and the Continuous Monitoring Program
• Assist operational staff and perform other duties as needed or assigned, including intercompany related driving

Requirements

• Class A or B CDL or ability to obtain a seasonal CDL
• Ability to read, write and communicate in English and understand highway traffic signs and signals
• Ability to work additional hours and occasional weekends to meet business demands

Nice to Have

• Valid Class A CDL preferred
• Agriculture background preferred
• Customer service experience preferred
