Seasonal Applicator/Operations Specialist

About This Role

This is a short-term role for a Seasonal Applicator/Operations Specialist, primarily responsible for handling grain and agronomy products, mixing and delivering fertilizers, and performing equipment maintenance for CHS Dakota Plains Ag.

Responsibilities

• Apply fertilizer and crop protection products under supervision, potentially using high clearance sprayer or floater.
• Work with customers in a courteous and professional manner, educating them on products, techniques, and support.
• Assist sales staff in ensuring correct orders and patron needs are met.
• Perform warehouse duties, including operating loaders, forklifts, mechanics, and general maintenance.
• Load and unload agricultural inputs from railcars and/or trucks using heavy or light duty machinery/equipment.
• Pick up and deliver product to customers as needed.
• Perform general labor responsibilities promptly and efficiently, including grounds maintenance, equipment inspection, and record keeping.

Requirements

• Knowledge of Agriculture Production, Operations, and/or Agriculture Application
• Meet minimum age requirement

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred

Nice to Have

• CDL license with Hazmat endorsement or ability to attain one
• Applicator's license
• Chemical application education and experience
• Forklift certification
• Farming/agriculture background
