Seasonal Truck Driver

About This Role

CHS Inc. is seeking a Seasonal Truck Driver to deliver fertilizer, seed, and agronomy products to local farmer customers during the busy spring season. This role ensures timely deliveries while providing excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Ensure accurate and timely pick up/deliveries to customers in a safe, timely, and professional manner, assisting with loading or unloading as needed.
• Provide excellent customer service, treating customers professionally and handling concerns promptly.
• Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal laws and regulations, including pre-trip and post-trip reporting, proper load securement, and hours of service.
• Maintain cleanliness of vehicle(s) and work environment.
• Complete and document daily maintenance inspections and ensure proper equipment maintenance.
• Maintain and promote a strong safety culture, following all safety policies and procedures.
• Report all incidents, accidents, and traffic violations immediately to supervisor.
• Enroll in and complete mandatory CHS random drug and alcohol testing program and Continuous Monitoring Program.
• Assist operational staff and perform other duties as needed or assigned, including intercompany related driving.

Requirements

• Class A CDL
• Ability to read, write and communicate in English and understand highway traffic signs and signals

Nice to Have

• Ability to obtain a DOT medical card
• Ability to work additional hours, be available for overnight stays and occasional weekends
• Tanker endorsement
• Air Brake endorsement
• Agriculture background
• Customer service experience
• Bulk liquid experience
• Pressure trailer experience
• Forklift experience
