Seasonal Truck Driver

About This Role

CHS Inc. is seeking a Seasonal Truck Driver in Carrollton, IL to transport fertilizer to local farmers, ranchers, and other CHS locations. This role ensures timely and safe deliveries while maintaining compliance with regulations and providing excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Ensure accurate and timely pick up/deliveries to customers in a safe, timely, and professional manner
• Assist with or load or unload, as needed
• Provide excellent customer service, treating customers professionally and handling concerns promptly
• Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal laws and regulations, including pre-trip/post-trip reporting, load securement, and hours of service
• Maintain cleanliness of vehicle(s) and work environment
• Complete and document daily maintenance inspections and ensure proper equipment maintenance
• Maintain and promote a strong safety culture, follow all safety policies, and report all incidents and traffic violations
• Enroll in and complete mandatory CHS random drug and alcohol testing program and the Continuous Monitoring Program
• Assist operational staff and perform other duties as needed, including intercompany related driving

Requirements

• Class A CDL
• Ability to read, write and communicate in English and understand highway traffic signs and signals
• Available to work March-July
• Available to work 6:00am-6:00pm, Monday through Saturday (potential for 7 days a week - weather dependent)
