About This Role

This is a contract surgical technologist opportunity specializing in obstetrics and maternity care, working 12-hour night shifts with weekend rotations in Monroe, NC. The role involves patient care during various obstetric procedures and working independently in the operating room.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient care during vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, tubal ligations, and emergency hysterectomies
• Work independently as a solo surgical technologist in the OR environment
• Assist with instrumentation during deliveries
• Stock operating rooms and patient rooms
• Be available for rare float assignments to a nearby unit (15 minutes away)
• Cover 50% of holidays

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years surgical tech experience
• At least one year of experience in obstetrics
• BLS certification
• Proven ability to work with maternity and OB patient populations comfortably
• Competence in solo surgical tech responsibilities in the OR environment

Qualifications

• 2+ years surgical tech experience, with at least one year in obstetrics
