School Speech Pathology

About This Role

Provide direct, in-person speech-language pathology services to K-12 students in a school setting. Collaborate with staff and maintain documentation to support student success.

Responsibilities

• Provide speech-language pathology services to a fluid caseload of approximately 45-50 students
• Work primarily with students identified with Other Health Impairments (OHI), Learning Disabilities, Autism Spectrum Disorder, and Language Impairments
• Deliver services mainly outside the general education classroom setting
• Collaborate with teachers and support staff to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports adhering to school and state requirements
• Conduct evaluations and assessments to inform intervention plans

Requirements

• Licensed or certified Speech Language Pathologist for the state of Maryland
• Experience working with school-aged children (K-12), preferably with elementary students
• Knowledge of speech and language disorders including OHI, learning disabilities, autism, and language impairments
• Ability to provide in-person therapy

Qualifications

• Experience working with school-aged children (K-12), preferably with a focus on elementary students
