School Speech Language Pathologist

About This Role

A school-based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is sought for a contract position in Joliet, IL, from August 2025 through June 2026. This role supports K-8 students with social and emotional disabilities, providing critical speech therapy services.

Responsibilities

• Deliver targeted speech-language pathology interventions for approximately 30 students.
• Provide individualized therapy aligned with students IEPs, averaging 120 minutes per month or 30 minutes per week per student.
• Collaborate with special education staff and multidisciplinary teams to support communication goals.
• Maintain detailed documentation and progress reports to monitor student development.
• Participate fully in an in-person work setting.

Requirements

• Active Illinois Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) license
• Professional Educator License (PEL)

Nice to Have

• Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC)
• Experience working with K-8 students, especially those with social and emotional challenges.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students and staff.
