School Speech Language Pathologist

About This Role

Contribute to student development in a K-12 school setting by providing speech-language pathology assistance. This role focuses on enhancing communication skills and educational outcomes for diverse learners in accordance with state guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Assist speech-language pathologists in the implementation of therapy programs
• Prepare materials and organize sessions for students requiring speech-language support
• Document student progress and maintain detailed records
• Collaborate with educators and families to support student needs and promote effective communication strategies
• Adhere to established protocols and maintain compliance with state licensing requirements

Requirements

• Active Maryland Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) license
• Strong communication skills
• Strong organizational skills
• Ability to work 37.5 hours per week

Qualifications

• Experience working in educational settings or with children in K-12 schools preferred
