Provide specialized speech-language therapy services to high school students with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) and other learning differences using AAC strategies. Collaborate with educational staff to foster communication and independence.
Responsibilities
- Provide speech-language therapy services, especially utilizing AAC (augmentative and alternative communication) strategies
- Work within the Compass High Program, a supportive, specialized educational environment for high school students
- Collaborate with educational staff to build personalized educational approaches fostering communication skills and student independence
Requirements
- Valid state licensure to practice in Massachusetts schools
- Experience working in school settings, particularly with high school-aged students
- Familiarity with AAC methods and their application in therapeutic support
- Background or experience supporting students with Autism Spectrum Disorders or similar learning differences
