This Registered Nurse opportunity involves working within a middle school setting in Wake Forest, NC, managing a caseload of students with complex healthcare needs, including tracheostomies. The role focuses on providing skilled care, developing individualized health plans, and conducting health assessments for students.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of middle school students with complex healthcare needs, including students with tracheostomies
• Provide skilled tracheostomy care
• Develop and implement Individualized Health Plans (IHPs) or Plans of Care (POCs)
• Conduct thorough health evaluations and assessments
• Provide supervision and guidance to mothers, nursing staff, or other medical personnel involved in student care

Requirements

• Current RN licensure
• Proven experience in school nursing, specifically with middle school-aged children
• Skilled in tracheostomy care and management
• Ability to develop and implement individualized health care plans
• Strong assessment and evaluation skills
• Excellent communication and supervisory capabilities
