About This Role

Provide essential nursing services to elementary students in a school setting within Long Beach, CA. This contract role involves direct student health support, collaboration with school staff, and maintenance of health records during the current school year.

Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing services to elementary students, supporting health and wellness within the school setting
• Collaborate closely with school psychologists and educational staff to address student health needs
• Maintain up-to-date TB risk assessments in compliance with health regulations
• Monitor and manage student health records and medication administration where applicable
• Participate in health education and prevention programs tailored to the school community

Requirements

• Current and valid State of California LVN license
• Familiarity with TB risk assessment protocols and maintaining current status
• Strong communication skills to work effectively with students, parents, and school personnel
• Ability to handle sensitive health information with confidentiality and professionalism

Qualifications

• Prior experience working with children, preferably in school-based nursing or pediatric settings
