About This Role

Provide comprehensive psychological services to K-12 students in West Hartford, CT, supporting their academic and emotional development. This contract role involves assessments, IEP development, collaboration with stakeholders, and crisis intervention.

Responsibilities

• Conduct psychological assessments
• Interpret evaluation results
• Develop individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Collaborate with teachers and parents
• Deliver counseling or crisis intervention as needed
• Promote a supportive learning environment
• Ensure compliance with state and federal special education regulations

Requirements

• Valid certification/license as a School Psychologist
• Experience working with K-12 students in school settings
• Proficiency in administering and interpreting a wide range of psychological assessments
• Strong knowledge of special education laws and regulations
• Effective communication and collaboration skills with educators, families, and students
• Ability to develop comprehensive reports and maintain accurate records
