School Occupational Therapist

About This Role

Serve as a full-time Occupational Therapist within an elementary school, supporting students with diverse developmental needs in the Rockford, IL area. This role focuses on enhancing students' participation in classroom activities through various therapeutic interventions.

Responsibilities

• Support students' ability to participate fully in classroom activities by enhancing fine motor skills, visual-motor integration, sensory processing, and self-care abilities
• Modify tasks or environments as needed to accommodate individual student needs
• Perform diagnostic and evaluation testing
• Create clear and detailed reports based on student assessments and observations
• Develop and maintain IEP objectives and accommodations
• Collaborate with parents, teachers, and other professionals to track and support student progress effectively

Requirements

• Hold or qualify for an Illinois state license as an Occupational Therapist
