Provide dedicated one-on-one nursing support to a student at a high school, ensuring their health and safety through specialized medical care and collaboration with school staff.
Responsibilities
- Provide one-on-one nursing support for a student needing specialized medical care
- Administer care including tracheostomy management; gastrostomy tube (G-tube) experience is a plus
- Accompany the student on the mid-day bus ride to a technical center for calls and assistance
- Begin and end the school day at the high school, working from 7:45 AM to 3:15 PM
- Collaborate with school staff and family to promote a safe and supportive learning environment
- Participate in interviews and potentially renew contract based on performance and fit
Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure
- Experience with tracheostomy care
Nice to Have
- G-tube experience
- Background in school nursing or pediatric healthcare
