School-Based Registered Nurse (RN)

About This Role

Provide direct nursing care and health assessments in a K-12 school in Lake City, MN. This contract position focuses on supporting a preschool student's health and well-being in a 1-to-1 setting.

Responsibilities

• Providing direct nursing care and health assessments for assigned students
• Administering medications and treatments as prescribed
• Monitoring and documenting student health status and responding to emergencies
• Collaborating with school staff and parents to support student health plans
• Maintaining a safe and healthy school environment for students and staff
• Filling in on an on-call or PRN basis to cover contractor or district absences, call-outs, or no-shows

Requirements

• Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Ability to work independently and manage a 1-to-1 caseload effectively
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Flexibility to work on-call or PRN as needed

Nice to Have

• Experience working in school settings preferred
