This Sales Manager role oversees the Arizona sales team, ensuring daily operations run smoothly and individual contributors meet their goals through rigorous accountability and KPI tracking. The manager will work closely with senior leadership to protect existing revenue and identify new opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Monitor daily sales activities to ensure tasks are completed and reps maximize field time
- Hold reps accountable to specific metrics, including meeting volume and growth targets
- Utilize HubSpot CRM to provide weekly reporting on team progress, wins, and performance gaps
- Conduct weekly ride-alongs with sales reps to build key account relationships, retain business, and open new opportunities
- Identify key accounts with senior leadership and ensure high-touch service for retention
- Uncover untapped clinics and opportunities within Arizona and guide reps through the sales cycle
- Monitor local competitor activity and report findings to refine Strive's competitive edge
- Onboard and train new hires, ensuring proficiency in Strive's value proposition and workflows
- Conduct regular field visits to verify sales plan execution according to company standards
- Execute directives from Sr Managers, Directors, and VPs, translating goals into daily tasks
- Identify and resolve immediate team-level obstacles, escalating complex issues to senior channels
Requirements
- 4+ years of professional experience in medical or pharmaceutical sales
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding individual targets
- 1-2 years of experience supervising teams or acting as a lead in a clinical or pharmaceutical sales environment
- Proven ability to manage by metrics and hold team members to high standards of performance
- Strong ability to deliver clear instructions to a team and concise reports to a manager
- Must be based in Arizona (Phoenix/Mesa/Gilbert preferred)
- Ability to travel across the state
Qualifications
- 4+ years of professional experience in medical or pharmaceutical sales with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding targets, plus 1-2 years of experience supervising teams or acting as a lead in a clinical or pharmaceutical sales environment.
