The Sales Manager (Optical Retail) will act as a sales leader, assisting the Brand Manager in supervising and executing action plans to drive sales performance while fostering a positive, results-driven team atmosphere. This role involves encouraging others to achieve goals and coaching a team to follow company objectives, while also supporting store operations and partnering with clinical teams.
Responsibilities
- Drive sales to exceed personal and store goals while delivering outstanding customer service experience
- Support Brand Manager duties, frequently acting as Manager on duty
- Support store talent acquisition and development, including training new team members and ongoing development plans for associates
- Build strong partnerships with Clinical services
- Analyze daily/weekly/monthly/quarterly reports to ensure all staff members are achieving desired goals
- Communicate effectively and build strong partnerships with the Support Center and Human Resources
- Ensure proper lab production to achieve 'Now Service' and 'Ready When Promised'
- Execute simple customer repairs, assemble lenses into frames, and edge stock lenses to expedite delivery of eyeglasses
- Ensure brand standards are met in the lab area and notify management of equipment malfunctions or incomplete orders
- Keep track of delivery time commitments to patients to ensure 100% compliance
Requirements
- Demonstrated leadership ability with at least one year of experience in a fast-paced retail environment
- Experience planning and implementing sales strategies and directing a sales team
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and be flexible with changing business needs in a team environment
- Skills to communicate effectively with a diverse group of people
- High school diploma or equivalent
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- At least one year of experience in a fast-paced retail environment with demonstrated leadership ability

- Optical experience
- Knowledgeable about MS Word, Google Docs, etc.
