Sales Manager

About This Role

Lead and grow the sales department by coaching, mentoring, and building a high-performance sales team focused on increasing market share, customer satisfaction, and profitability for a family-owned RV dealership.

Responsibilities

• Coach, mentor, and build a high-performance sales team to meet and exceed short- and long-term goals
• Enhance customer satisfaction throughout the sales process
• Maximize profitability through increased sales, gross profit, P&L management, and labor cost control
• Foster a culture that promotes employee development and retention
• Ensure strong relationships with external manufacturers and vendors
• Drive results and control costs to achieve monthly and yearly budget projections
• Create and manage a yearly inventory forecast and marketing strategy
• Develop and manage a strategic plan for driving sales through events, community activities, and local marketing campaigns
• Maintain accurate inventory levels to achieve sales goals and accommodate seasonality, evaluating current RV market trends
• Continuously monitor and update pricing to ensure market competitiveness

Requirements

• Sales management experience in a high-volume and revenue environment (RV, automotive, marine, or power sports industry preferred)
• Proven success in merchandising, inventory management, shrinkage control, security methods, and understanding consumer buying behaviors
• Adaptability in ever-changing environments
• Strong ability to take ownership with a growth mindset
• Proven success in leading action planning and goal achievement
• Excellent leadership and project management skills
• Strong collaboration skills for cross-functional teamwork

Qualifications

• A college degree in a relevant field is a plus for this role
• Experience with managing a high-volume and revenue sales environment in the RV, automotive, marine, or power sports industry is strongly preferred
