Sales Consultant

About This Role

This Sales Consultant role is responsible for executing property marketing, leasing, and renewal strategies to achieve occupancy and resident retention goals for Greystar. The consultant will serve as a key point of contact for prospective residents, guiding them through the leasing process and ensuring resident satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Perform all sales and leasing activities to achieve the property’s revenue and occupancy goals, including greeting and qualifying prospects, conducting property tours, processing applications, and preparing lease agreements.
• Collect pertinent information from prospective residents at move-in and record as appropriate.
• Stay informed about market and competitor conditions, collaborate with leadership, and develop short- and long-term marketing plans.
• Design and execute marketing activities and events to drive traffic, including resident referral programs and internet marketing.
• Utilize on-site property management software to track availability, traffic, leasing activities, and manage resident/prospect data.
• Ensure the property and show units meet company standards for quality by daily inspection, communicating maintenance needs, and merchandising units.
• Follow-up with prospects and new residents within 24 hours to ensure satisfaction and document all follow-up during the sales process.
• Execute activities for the property’s lease renewal program, preparing letters, contacting residents, and ensuring documents are signed.
• Respond quickly and courteously to resident and client/owner concerns, taking action to solve problems or convey requests.
• Demonstrate customer service skills by treating residents, prospects, and guests with respect, answering questions, and responding to complaints.
• Attend community and networking events, align with local associations, and participate in outreach marketing efforts to drive traffic and generate leads.
• Complete various financial, administrative, and other reports and analyses, and perform other assigned duties.
• Assist the Lifestyle Coordinator by attending and helping with event setups as required.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1-3 years minimum of relevant experience in sales, marketing, internet, and customer service
• Demonstrated ability to read, write, and communicate effectively
• Mathematical skills for sales conversions
• Ability to apply sales skills including lead generation, presentations, qualifying, and closing
• Valid driver’s license

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, hospitality, or related field preferred.
• 1-3 years minimum of relevant experience in sales, marketing, internet, and customer service.
