This Account Manager role at Cayenta, a division of Harris, drives revenue growth and expands customer relationships within the public utilities sector. The role balances new business development with account advocacy, ensuring customer success by acting as a trusted CIS/ERP partner.
Responsibilities
- Drive revenue growth to meet business targets through industry value-based initiatives
- Identify, pursue, and close new sales opportunities within assigned territory
- Develop and execute territory sales plans
- Accurately forecast deal closing timelines and maintain up-to-date records in CRM systems
- Protect revenue and ensure the health of customer relationships by acting as an advocate
- Execute quarterly business reviews with multiple stakeholders at each aligned account
- Maintain ongoing engagement with customers post-sale to ensure satisfaction and drive adoption
- Establish and nurture a spectrum of relationships within customer organizations
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Cayenta’s evolving CIS/ERP solutions
- Participate in industry conferences, user groups, and professional organizations
Requirements
- 3+ years of software sales experience (public sector CIS/ERP or utility preferred)
- Proven track record of meeting/exceeding sales goals and managing complex sales cycles
- Strong understanding of public utilities workflows and enterprise solution technology
- Exceptional communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
- Experience with CRM systems and accurate forecasting
- Ability to travel up to 30%
- Valid passport/visa for international travel
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Technology, or related field preferred
- 3+ years of software sales experience, ideally in public sector CIS/ERP or utility environments
