This Account Manager position focuses on managing retail and wholesale accounts, optimizing import schedules, negotiating contracts, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery and customer satisfaction for our clients in Brea, CA.
Responsibilities
- Analyze demand forecasts and create import schedules that optimize cost, lead time, and capacity, while approving purchase orders within set limits
- Negotiate rates and contracts with international suppliers and freight carriers, including setting payment terms, delivery agreements, and monitoring shipment progress
- Collaborate with internal teams such as operations, marketing, product development, and accounting to ensure timely and budget-friendly delivery of customer orders
- Manage assigned retail and wholesale accounts by overseeing sampling, production, import logistics, and fulfillment processes while addressing inquiries and driving account growth
- Develop strategic sales proposals for prospective national retailers and present tailored solutions to senior buyers to expand market presence
- Maintain accurate sales pipelines and pricing strategies, balancing revenue goals and profitability through margin analysis
- Identify inefficiencies in operations and implement improvements to enhance performance, reduce costs, and elevate customer satisfaction
- Provide leadership on continuous improvement projects, ensuring processes align with business objectives and deliver measurable results
- Support business growth by crafting and executing initiatives to secure reorders and design account-specific development programs
Requirements
- 3-4 years of combined experience in sales and/or operations within wholesale, consumer goods, or e-commerce industries
- Proficiency in Excel
- Familiarity with enterprise resource planning software
- Ability to travel up to 10%
- Strong skills in inbound and outbound sales, post-sales support, and order entry
- Excellent organizational abilities and attention to detail
- Effective communication and negotiation skills
- Demonstrated ability to analyze data, set pricing strategies, and drive business growth effectively
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain, or a related field is preferred
- At least 3-4 years of combined experience in sales and/or operations within wholesale, consumer goods, or e-commerce industries
