This mid-level project position is accountable for implementing and maintaining the Company's Safety and Health Procedures on moderately complex projects. It involves developing and conducting employee safety and health training programs, managing project security contracts, and overseeing worker's compensation programs.
Responsibilities
- Implement, administer and maintain project Drug and Alcohol Substance Abuse Program
- Develop and conduct employee safety and health training programs
- Conduct detailed site safety and health inspections
- Manage project security contracts, programs and policies
- Perform record keeping / filing functions
- Conduct incident and injury/illness investigations
- Write detailed injury/illness reports
- Complete all appropriate company safety and health program documents
- Interface with clients and government officials
- Manage construction contractor safety and health program administration
- Administer project worker's compensation programs and procedures
- Provide supervision, training, development, and performance management of direct reports
Requirements
- 5+ years safety and health experience
- Ability to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (criminal/civil background check, drug screen, motor vehicle records search)
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred, Bachelor's Degree preferred
- 5+ years safety and health experience, 3+ years in a construction environment preferred
