Electrical Engineer Intern, Substation

About This Role

This internship provides hands-on experience in electrical engineering for substation projects, contributing to infrastructure challenges and supporting client needs within an employee-owned company.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the development of electrical engineering deliverables like reports, drawings, specifications, and studies
• Assist with the engineering analyses, designs, and report production
• Collaborate with other disciplines and schedule project deliverables
• Organize and evaluate data, utilizing computer modeling to analyze systems
• Organize project materials, references, and documentation

Requirements

• Current enrollment in ABET accredited university in Electrical Engineering program

Qualifications

• Current enrollment in ABET accredited university in Electrical Engineering program
• No experience required for this internship.

Nice to Have

• Relevant coursework or knowledge in Power Systems, Motors, Transformers, Renewable Energy, Power Delivery, or Three Phase Power Calculations
• Understanding of engineering design principles and design guides
• Problem-solving skills
• Effective written communication
• Ability to build relationships
• Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
