Construction Manager 4 - Combine Cycle

About This Role

This role is responsible for coordinating the construction and start-up of combined cycles or simple cycle units, providing guidance to project staff and all on-site organizations. The Construction Manager ensures compliance with project standards, procedures, schedule, safety, cost, and quality decisions.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the construction and start-up of combined cycles or simple cycle units
• Provide guidance to project staff and all organizations on site
• Function as a representative for Black & Veatch in interactions involving the Owner and multiple EPC Contractors
• Implement Project standards and procedures, develop project specific procedures, and allocate resources
• Coordinate compliance with the schedule safety, cost, and quality decisions in conjunction with the Project Field Manager
• Monitor the EPC contractor’s Construction Execution Plan and overall construction effort
• Review, analyze, and report monthly on project construction budget, schedule, and quality performance
• Direct implementation of established project controls processes and procedures and project commissioning and testing plan
• Establish project field staffing needs and coordinate with Project Field Manager and construction department
• Mentor project field staff, promote internal and external team building, and maintain morale

Requirements

• 14+ years construction supervisory experience
• 3+ years of previous construction manager experience
• OSHA Training

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction, engineering, or related field preferred, or relevant field experience
• 14+ years construction supervisory experience with at least 3 years as a construction manager
