About This Role

Manage and direct construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to customer specifications. Oversee on-site workforce, maintain safety standards, and communicate effectively with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and direct assigned HCS projects to complete them on time and on budget, including revenue and margin requirements, while meeting customer expectations
  • Ensure safe work practices are followed, provide EH&S training, report safety incidents, and maintain project safety records
  • Assess the performance (safety, quality, quantity) of hired subcontractors and address any issues
  • Communicate regularly with vendors, contractors, and customers on project cost, staffing, scheduling, and specification modification
  • Manage the project schedule, communicating any deviations to customers and other departments
  • Prepare project status reports and ensure plans adhere to contract specifications and quality standards
  • Manage and direct all assigned field repairs, retrofits, upgrades, inspections, and installation projects
  • Gather critical site information about Howden's installed base for the CRM system and prospect for additional opportunities
  • Support the sales organization in promoting products/services and identifying/securing new opportunities

Requirements

  • 10+ years direct involvement in construction management, project management or field service
  • Proven field leadership qualities
  • Experience running and attending construction meetings
  • Ability to organize and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • High moral and ethical standards; integrity
  • Strong interpersonal skills – active listener, clear and concise communicator
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Proficiency in scheduling and construction administration software (Microsoft Project, Prolog, Primavera, and/or Expedition)
  • Competent understanding of Howden’s product and service offerings and customer base
  • Ability to create and maintain strong relationships with customers, employees, and Sales Reps
  • Strong analytical skills, decisive personality

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, business, mechanical or civil engineering, or equivalent related position experience
  • 10 years of direct involvement in construction management, project management or field service

Nice to Have

  • Comfortable and effective working in the “virtual world”
  • Experience with servicing highly engineered equipment and products, preferably through a sales rep. network
  • Personal mechanical skill levels at an expert Technical Service Advisor level
