This RN Supervisor position is responsible for directly providing patient care and supporting the manager in daily operations for the Hospital at Home program.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care and assist the manager with daily operations
- Coordinate patient care/outcomes and allocate human and fiscal resources
- Coordinate communications at regular intervals via staff meetings/huddles
- Collaborate with manager to ensure compliance with federal and state laws and regulations
- Round on patients, teammates, and physicians to gain insight into satisfaction and care appropriateness
- Delegate elements of care to appropriate healthcare workers
- Assist in identifying expected outcomes for continuity of care/department operations
- Assist in evaluating progress towards goal attainment and disseminate information
- Perform nursing care, assist with treatments, therapies, procedures, and administer medications
- Coordinate management of patient flow/throughput and staffing through continuous assessment of volume/acuity needs
Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing
- Current RN licensure in appropriate state
- BSN required (or enrolled in BSN program within 1 year of Hire/Transfer date and complete within 3 years of enrollment)
- BLS required per policy guidelines
- Appropriate professional certification (either clinical or leadership) required within 1 year of eligibility for professional certification exam
Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing, BSN required (or enrolled within 1 year and complete within 3 years of enrollment)
- Minimum two years nursing experience preferred. Previous management experience preferred.
