RN Supervisor

About This Role

Supervise and evaluate nursing care on the evening shift, ensuring adherence to the mission and philosophy of Taylor Health Center. This role involves clinical assessment, staff guidance, and maintaining high-quality patient-centered care for residents.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct, provide, and evaluate nursing care to ensure adherence to mission and philosophy
• Carry out facility policies and model time management, conscientiousness, dedication, self-discipline, accountability, and responsibility
• Utilize clinical assessment skills and judgment, responding to emergencies and providing staff resources
• Maintain and enhance self-esteem of others through empathetic listening and clear information exchange
• Write reports, memos, and evaluations completely, clearly, concisely, and timely, utilizing computer for communication
• Give clear directions, explain decisions, and solicit staff input to enhance group capabilities
• Responsible for the security of employees and residents on assigned shift, acting in an administrative capacity when needed
• Implement care and services recognizing age and diversity specific needs of customers and residents
• Review resident conditions with Clinical Care Coordinator and communicate pertinent information to physicians and families
• Delegate responsibility to nursing personnel for direct nursing care during each shift of duty

Requirements

• New York State RN licensure
• PRI certification
• MDS certification
• Current CPR certification

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing with a current New York State RN licensure. Bachelor of Science in Nursing is preferred.
• 2+ years experience in acute care and LTC preferred. Previous experience as a Nurse Manager or Charge Nurse in acute or long term care is desired.
