Clinical Assistant - ICU - Nights

About This Role

This role involves providing essential clinical support services within an Intensive Care Unit (ICU), assisting nursing staff with technical procedures and patient care, and ensuring effective communication and professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Perform competency in skills and procedures
• Perform competency in emergency situations, remaining calm and available during code situations
• Perform patient care, document, and report patient data to the Registered Nurse in a timely manner
• Consistently incorporate hourly rounding into daily practice
• Treat patients and families with respect, dignity, and kindness, maintaining confidentiality of patient information
• Practice effective problem identification and problem solution skills
• Recognize changes in patient status and advise appropriate personnel immediately
• Conduct self in a professional manner with all internal and external customers
• Demonstrate reliability and follow attendance and punctuality policies
• Provide assistance to other units if time and activity permit

Requirements

• High school diploma or comparable work experience
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 90 days of hire date

Qualifications

• High school diploma or comparable work experience
• Experience in a health care environment preferred, completion of orientation, exam, and competencies.
