About This Role

This Graduate Nurse Residency Program is for Registered Nurses on the 3B Acute Inpatient unit at Arnot Health, providing patient-centered care and continuous learning in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients with a variety of needs using a person-centered care approach
• Effectively prioritize patient needs that are both expected and unanticipated
• Demonstrate strong communication skills to interact with other health care professionals and patients
• Demonstrate competence and resourcefulness in the implementation of technical skills required to care for the patient
• Demonstrate initiative in remaining current in organization and department policies, procedures, and standards
• Evaluate effectiveness of care giving and show follow through on delivery
• Demonstrate critical thinking skills by making appropriate clinical decisions
• Proactively address actual and potential problems and execute compliant clinical documentation
• Assist with educating patients and families and serve as a resource on department standards for patient care

Requirements

• Current NYS Registered Nurse license or eligible
• Must obtain BLS certification prior to completion of introductory period
• Must obtain ACLS certification prior to completion of introductory period
