This Registered Nurse position involves providing patient-centered nursing care within Arnot Health's Endoscopy unit, utilizing therapeutic skills and the nursing process to manage patient needs. The role requires strong communication and critical thinking to deliver high-quality care and educate patients and families.
Responsibilities
- Assess patients with a variety of needs using a person-centered care approach
- Effectively prioritize expected and unanticipated patient needs
- Communicate effectively with healthcare professionals and patients
- Demonstrate competence in technical skills required for patient care
- Evaluate effectiveness of care, show follow through, and make appropriate clinical decisions
- Proactively address actual and potential problems
- Execute compliant clinical documentation
- Assist with educating patients and families
- Serve as a resource on department standards for patient care
Requirements
- Current NYS Registered Nursing
Qualifications
- 1 year of Endoscopy RN preferred
Nice to Have
- 1 year of Endoscopy RN experience
