RN Supervisor

About This Role

The RN acts as a supervisor, maintaining nursing philosophy, objectives, and quality care standards while ensuring compliance with regulations and policies. This role involves active participation in resident care planning, staff development, and quality assurance.

Responsibilities

• Maintain nursing philosophy, objectives, and quality nursing care standards
• Ensure compliance with standards, codes, rules, regulations, and facility policies
• Notify the Director of Nursing and Administrator on call as required
• Actively participate with the Interdisciplinary Team (IDT) and follow through on determined actions
• Serve as a resident advocate and ensure resident rights are maintained
• Work collaboratively with all departments and support medical staff
• Serve as a leader and resource for nursing staff
• Ensure safe quality care is provided to residents daily and communicate essential information for continuity of care
• Guide LPN Nurse Managers, LPNs, and CNAs in their responsibilities
• Ensure accurate, appropriate, and complete documentation by all nursing staff

Requirements

• NYS RN License
• BLS
• Basic computer skills
• Patience, tact, a cheerful disposition, and enthusiasm
• Ability to make independent decisions
• Ability to plan, organize, develop, implement, and interpret programs, goals, objectives, policies and procedures

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing as an RN
• 2 years clinical experience
