Neuropsychology Technician

About This Role

Administer and score standardized cognitive tests and manage patient data under the supervision of a neuropsychologist. This role is crucial for providing accurate assessments for patients with neurological and cognitive disorders within an academic medical center.

Responsibilities

• Administer a variety of neuropsychological tests and questionnaires to patients under the supervision of a licensed psychologist
• Score neuropsychological tests accurately, adhering to established protocols
• Collect and manage patient data, including test results and questionnaires, ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, and secure storage
• Maintain records of test administration and behavioral observations
• Prepare score summary sheets that include raw and normed test scores
• Work closely with the neuropsychologist, clinical staff, and other healthcare professionals to support patient care
• Adhere to all ethical guidelines, legal requirements, and institutional policies related to patient confidentiality and data protection

Requirements

• Minimum one year of testing experience as a Neuropsychology Technician, Psychometrician, or Psychometrist
• Bachelor's degree in psychology, neuroscience, or a related field
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in test administration and data entry
